Minnamurra - New Home
This beautiful family home with views over Minnamurra Golf Course and a short walk from the River was meticulously designed by its delighted owners to be light, open and easy to take care of, yet full of details which have resulted in a spectacular custom home.
We worked closely with the clients on every aspect of the build from the clearing of the site to handing over the keys.
On the exterior, the house is a mixture of light and dark rendering, cladding, glass balustrade, large glass doors, windows designed to capture the light and those angled skillion roof lines. The beautiful timber front pivot door is well matched with the garage door in a timber look Colorbond.
Once opened the door reveals a wood and glass staircase built on a steel backbone that leads up to the second floor. Cleverly inset into the corner behind the stairs is a strip of LED lighting that runs the full height of the 2 floors. The windows in the stair void and the sliding glass doors in the downstairs living room give this area bright and welcoming feel. While the polished concrete floor is adds a warm grey tone and bounces the light around.
The family bathroom features a beautiful free standing bath, double basin and floor to ceiling tiles. The frameless glass shower screen keeps the room feeling open and the high widows which run the length of the room ensure there is plenty of light and ventilation. Details such as a warm towel rail, plenty of vanity storage and grates set into the floor finish this relaxing room.
Also on the lower level are three generous bedrooms with plush carpet, classic plantation shutters and built in wardrobes, a laundry which also has the polished concrete floor, the rear deck and a double garage. The hallway has lights set into the wall that provide enough light for night time wandering without lighting up the whole area.
Moving upstairs you'll find the exquisite master bedroom with walk in robe and ensuite, kitchen with walk in pantry, dining area and living room with front and rear decks. And of course the spectacular void that opens the top and bottom floors to each other. The balustrade is all glass with polished stainless steel top rail and the flooring is beautiful richly coloured but light Blackbutt.
All three of this home's decks us Modwood decking for durability and easy of care and feature the same glass balustrade with polished stainless steel top rail as inside which maximises the views. Our team built the custom privacy screen in the upper rear deck shown in the photos below.

DRC Built was a pleasure to deal with, always giving us the time to discuss the process from design to completion. All of the DRC team were extremely friendly and respectful. Duncan was always around to talk through any ideas we had during the project and was always willing to accommodate any variations we wanted. Duncan completely involved himself in the project even rocking up on a Monday morning to say he had been thinking about something over the weekend and wanted to run it past us. We are extremely happy with the quality of the work and the quality of the finished product. The DRC Built team maintained a very high standard the entire build with a high level of attention to detail.
